Susan Harris-Rimmer
Research Officer
Susan Harris Rimmer is working on providing feminist perspectives in the field of transitional justice, international humanitarian law and refugee law. She is particularly interested in how non-combatants can achieve economic, social and cultural rights in a post-conflict state. She is also interested in how to conceive of refugees and displaced persons as key participants in transitional justice processes in their country of origin. Some of her current research questions are focused on the work of the UN Peacebuilding Commission, the 'responsibility to protect' doctrine and the idea of cosmopolitan democracy in the Asia-Pacific region (with Hilary Charlesworth).
