Feminist Internationalisms: Celebrating feminist engagements with international law and politics Centre for International Governance and Justice Workshop APCD Lecture Theatre, Hedley Bull Centre at The Australian National University 23-24 November 2009, ANU Call for registrations
Venue : Hedley Bull Centre This two-day workshop will focus on Australasian work on feminist internationalism in the fields of international relations and international law. Papers will explore economics, security, democracy and human rights using feminist inquiry both as a theoretical lens and a methodology. The keynote speaker is Professor Ann Tickner, University of Southern California. This workshop is supported by the Australian Research Council.
Registration : Registration costs $100 ($50 for fulltime students). Please return attached form by 1 November 2009. Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to numerous awards and recognitions, Martin Griffiths named Ann Tickner in his Fifty Key Thinkers in International Relations. She received her B.A. from the University of London, M.A. from Yale University, and Ph.D. from Brandeis University. She is the author of Gendering World Politics: Issues and Approaches in the Post-Cold War Era ( Columbia University, 2001), Gender in International Relations: Feminist Perspectives on Achieving International Security (Columbia University, 1992), and (Columbia University, 1987).
